After a very wet morning and an afternoon of drying and warming up, the clouds are opening up above the Isle of Skye. Time to explore Trotternish a bit further.
At Kilt Rock the wind is blowing heavily and as a blow dryer draws waves on the sea. Next to us a much more professional photographer… guess he didn’t mess up his camera after a wet hike. He uses a tripod, but with the wind blowing this hard, I would keep one hand on it. He doesn’t. I am such an amateur…
A young couple still very much in love is posing. We try to be patient, but honestly how many selfies can you take of the same position? Move over, it is our turn now. We are getting so efficient in these selfies. The right side of my face is my “best” side, but as I operate the camera with my left hand and thumb, the left side of my face is always in the picture… We also battle NOT to be in front, as your head gets distorted then. My son, the smallest one of our bunch, always loses… With the four of us – yes FOUR – we manage each time to frame ourselves neatly… including the attraction in the background… we are professionals too!
