After a whole day of rain it is time to play and the sheep are apparently into it.
When I prepared this little hike to Neist Point Lighthouse, I came across so many different opinions and warnings on how to be so very careful when taking this hike. Still don’t understand why… OK, if the railing would not have been there AND there is a hurricane passing by, you get swept away. And obviously you shouldn’t be walking close to the edge or trying to have a peak what is beyond that drop.
Meanwhile we are having fun playing with the sheep that roam around here. Jeezz, they are fast. One of them must have been too impatient to wait for the other half to be shaved off, resulting in a fashion statement.
What is going on at the lighthouse? The keepers’ houses are in complete decay. My son got an aery feeling and wanted to leave immediately, my daughter’s interest was raised now and wanted to explore the compound in detail. I found a nice post with some more background and more pictures. Since then it seems that the doors are now locked up to avoid people entering and the weird thing is it looks like there has been some activity, a mix of old and new garbage…
