You would have thought it would be easy to spot herds of Highland Cows in Scotland. No, it isn’t. At least not where we have been wandering around. After 5 days we feel it is about time to spot one, so we ask. As we do with everything and anything… we ask… “So what is the feeling around the Brexit?”… “what does wee mean?”… “were you born and raised here on the Isle of Skye?”…ḧow does social life and going out look like here?”… “why do we see so few men in kilt?”… “do you have one?” (the next question then would have been… can you put it on?”) … So, we asked the Flemish lady on the Highland Games: “Where do we find Highland Cows?”. Apparently a few villages further down from Lochcarron. Yes!
We were not the only ones so foolish to stop by the meadow and take pictures. Other tourists seem to think as well FINALLY!
In Dalmunzie we see some more as a goodbye gift before we leave for the airport. Happy.
UPDATE Post the trip: And to know that we have a natural preservation area next to our village center where there is a whole herd of Highland Cows roaming around. Lots of them… I figured this out only afterwards… haha
