Being surpassed by reindeer

Happy as a child

Get me close to animals and I am happy. And this time we would get to pet and feed reindeer at Cairngorms National Park where reindeer got re-introduced back in the 50’s and now roam freely.

I got this planned out 6 months ahead – yes, I know, read my post on planning and you will understand… – and was as happy as a little child when we got there. I was the first to get behind the lead car that brought us to the location, the first in line behind the guide to hike to the meadows, still the first behind the guide to walk over the boardwalks, and then got pushed in my behind and surpassed by even more eager reindeer when they smelled the food the guide was carrying. Brilliant!

Selfie

Reindeer don’t have upper teeth… it is a plate only… and due to this there is kind of a resemblance with people without teeth… Looks even cooler on a “selfie”: just stuff the camera under their snout and click. Cool!
