This real first day of the trip – and not the arriving day which in my mind is always a half, non productive day – took some time and compromises.
We didn’t plan much time here in Edinburgh as a result of some compromises. The idea was to explore Victoria Street and the Royal mile and then go for sunset at Calton hill. Half way Victoria Street, the kids got hungry, or better were in need of sugar.
Before even getting on the plane to Edinburgh we got our doses of stress and annoyance.
After a long day of work, finally escaped the office. Some colleagues are contemplating to “just go to the restaurant of the hotel”. No way! We had no free time today, at least we make dinner a feast!
The older I am getting the more fond I am on my privacy. I am more conscious about myself. I have a sleep disorder and have 2 options: snore and stop breathing 48 times an hour, or sleep with a machine and mask that pushes air under pressure through my throat. Either way, embarrassing.
On March 22nd 2016, two terrorist attacks took place in Belgium. One in the entrance hall of the airport. One in Maalbeek metro stration. Guess the whole population is shocked, disgusted and angry.
I still don’t get it: boarding by group. I am part of Group 4, for whatever reason. Guess some sort of logic to board the people in the back first? I am at 19A… Maybe I am just part of the least favorite customers?
Baggage Traveling by default means, you are not at home where you have everything you need in the house or close by.
In parallel with my blog I keep on providing reviews on other sites like TripAdvisor. I use TripAdvisor a lot to plan my trips. Not that I follow blindly the number 1 items to go see and do.
