When I saw this book – “Ultieme Bestemmingen, de top 500 van beste plekken op aarde/ Ultimate destinations, top 500 of the best places on earth” by Lonely Planet – in my online-store my heart skipped a beat, as always with this type of travel-slash-bucket-list books. How much is there still to see that I […]
The older I am getting the more fond I am on my privacy. I am more conscious about myself. I have a sleep disorder and have 2 options: snore and stop breathing 48 times an hour, or sleep with a machine and mask that pushes air under pressure through my throat. Either way, embarrassing.
On March 22nd 2016, two terrorist attacks took place in Belgium. One in the entrance hall of the airport. One in Maalbeek metro stration. Guess the whole population is shocked, disgusted and angry.
I still don’t get it: boarding by group. I am part of Group 4, for whatever reason. Guess some sort of logic to board the people in the back first? I am at 19A… Maybe I am just part of the least favorite customers?
Difficulty in getting up and waking up. That’s not a good sign. My vowels are protesting – luckily I have that pink medicine with me (horrible taste). A bit feverish. So instead of heading towards Canyon de Chelly, I headed back into bed. A good sleep will get me back on my feet. Three hours […]

You only understand how vast and desolate Arizona is when you cross from West to East, from Page to Monument Valley. Grand Canyon to Page is nothing compared to that. Absolute nothingness. Desolate desert with bushes. Cars passing by going somewhere, not sure where.

I walked the trail towards the outlook of the settlement. There was something weird. I stopped walking. All sounds […]
Yesterday Taylor our guide told us that the morning light is actually better, you get more contrast and more color, especially the blue color. But the morning times are also more busy… I tried my luck and was back at 7 am in front of the gate, together with a bunch of other people.
When you are in Page, you need to go and look at the Horseshoe Bend. Obviously. So, I did. Some say the best sequence of activities in the area is starting with Lower Antelope Canyon in the morning, then go look at Horseshoe Bend and end up at Lake Powel.
