Day out in Brussels

I have to be in Brussels for medical tests every so many weeks. To make it more enjoyable, my friend and I play tourist for a day. This time we are heading for the Atomium!

On special request of my mum I revisited the Reading-between-the-lines-church in Borgloon, Belgium. The instruction was “I like the architecture, the lines, but need an orange tone for the art work I want in my dining room”. So off I went…
In June my friend and I accompanied our sons’ school trip to Antwerp. We had to listen and follow, as the kids. But we wanted to relax on a terrace sipping a cappuccino instead… So we went back without kids and teachers.
Lovely day today for a nice stroll with 3 generations in my home town. I moved out of the city and deeper into the province years ago, but Hasselt, my home town stays close to my heart. Small enough to be walkable and cosy, yet big enough for nice finds and excitement.
I found this little gem in a neighboring village by accident. By accident, as it popped by on Pinterest while I was browsing iconic things to go and see. In my backyard??
